Category management
The module will study the category management in terms of strategic objectives, the development and implementation of strategic plans that match company’s goals, the main stages of category management, the procurement cycle, the tools (PESTED, SWOT, 5 Porter strengths, Kralich Matrix, etc.), a practical task and a scheme which will help to create own category strategy and approach.

Financial management
The goal of financial management in procurement is to determine the real degree of stability and reliability of suppliers (including potential ones) and the logic of the price composition. Understanding the nature of financial reporting documents makes it possible to understand the management effectiveness of a particular company. As a result of analysis and comparison of various data we will learn to identify risky partners and the correlation between the company’s performance and the data of the entire industry..

Asset life cycle management
Typically, the cost of acquiring substantial assets, such as equipment, is only the tip of the iceberg and may even be less than other related payments in companies. That is why one should take into account the purchase price, payment terms and delivery costs, along with the cost of the entire asset lifecycle: acquisition, storage, installation, maintenance, operation and final disposal.. In this module we will consider the best options, taking into account all associated costs and alternatives, as well as the ways to keep track of quantitative, financial estimates, and also formulate and analyze estimated assumptions.

Relationship management with stakeholders Change management
This module is about the classic relationships management methods between the interested sides as the key element of a “huge value” creation that may take 70% of the company market price. You can define the group of influence in the company and outside of it, build the strategy and communication tactics in relation to the stakeholders, also define the changes and expected result potentials.

Risk management Audit Procurement ethics
Business evolution has shown the importance of ethical and transparent business management. At the same time, ethics can be interpreted in different ways in different organizational cultures, which leads to the need to develop a single concept set. Business, in turn, understands the risk level of corruption. It votes for anti-corruption policies and controls the procurement activity regarding the identification and management of such risks. In this module the types of risks and methods of their management will be determined. We will consider the tools for assessing business processes in procurement, analyze the concept of ethics and options for its interpretation, as well as the impact on ethics and compliance approaches on business success.

Category strategy pre-demo
An individual presentation by each participant of his or her own detailed and prescribed category strategy (for a category that is currently relevant for the participant’s company). The development of a category strategy is carried out according to the methodology provided in the programme. At this stage students present their developments, receive expert feedback and refine them.

Negotiations with suppliers
This module will help to develop key negotiation approaches based on a detailed understanding of commercial strategy and the use of tools to create add-on value; the ability to identify and neutralize manipulation. This module presupposes 5 big role games, brainstorm and an individual feedback for each participant.

Category strategy defence
Students will have test which cover all studied topics and should pass individual defense of one’s own category strategy in front of the experts. The approved category strategy is ready for implementation in the companies. It can also be the guide for developing strategies for other company categories.
